Version 1.0.2, 21 August 2026. Fixes the Open folder button, which was opening your Documents folder instead of the client's Exports this week folder. The window is easier to read too. Download it over the top of your old copy. Your clients and your settings stay exactly where they are, and the bottom of the window tells you which version you have.
The first time you open it
Windows may show a blue “Windows protected your PC” box. Click More info, then Run anyway. Your antivirus might ask about it too. Both happen because the file is new, and neither means anything is wrong.
Unzip the folder somewhere you will find it again, like your Documents folder, then double-click HB Weekly Update Assistant. Press Add a client and point it at the workbook you add a tab to each week. It only asks once per client.
Every week after that
Drop the six QuickBooks CSVs into that client's Exports this week folder, press Type the balances and fill in what you read off the bank login, then press the button. Your accounts are already listed there with last week's numbers, so you only change what moved. Your original workbook is never changed.
If something looks wrong
It checks its own work against the files you gave it, and puts last week's workbook back rather than saving a week you cannot trust. If that happens, email william@daringstrategy.com and attach the assistant-log.txt file from the folder. That tells me exactly where it stopped.
